Filled with action and intriguing characters, this novel started out with a bang! Declan Finn makes character development and dialogue seem effortless. The premise of the story is fascinating. The Pope hiring hit men? What secrets lie in the vault that holds the archive?
This is one of those novels you need to read in a weekend two or three successive nights, due to the cast of characters and the fast-moving plot.
Declan Finn lives in a part of New York City unreachable by bus or subway. Who’s Who has no record of him, his family, or his education. He has trained in hand to hand combat and weapons at the most elite schools in Long Island, and figured out nine ways to kill with a pen when he was only fifteen. He escaped a free man from a PhD program in history. He’s been on the run ever since. There was a brief incident where he was branded a terrorist, but only a court order can unseal those records. And really, why would you want to know?
Guns, bombs and Catholicism. A good read from start to finish. Definitely buy this book as soon as humanly possible.
As an active adrenalin addict I loved this read. The book is well written and draws the reader in from the very beginning.
This series will keep you reading, no matter what your bedtime was.
Very smooth read. I usually don't read books with a religious theme, but I'm glad this one was an exception. The characters were very believable, and it had me rapidly turning the page until the very end. Highly recommended.
